March 30 & April 20, 2023
Sustainable tourism is a concept frequently discussed by tourism operators, organizations and institutions, but what does it really mean? How can you incorporate sustainable practices into your own operation and what are the benefits of doing so? This workshop series is designed for people interested in learning more about sustainable tourism, whether you are learning about it for the first time or whether you are already well versed. These interactive 60 minute workshops will be led by Dr. Rachel Dodds who has worked in sustainable tourism for more than 25 years. She will discuss challenges related to sustainable tourism, share examples of sustainable tourism practices and destinations that have successfully adopted a sustainable approach. She will also address your questions about sustainable tourism and provide you with practical advice about your business or organization.
